Fashion Tips Today

With fall in the air the need to revamp our wardrobe has come. Personally I have so many clothes it’s a little bananas. Clothes I don't need, I don’t wear and probably will never wear again, but I have a hard time letting go.

This weekend I attended a keep it or toss it party with my Sis in preparation of her big move.  Everything in her closet was pretty cute or at least I could come up with some cute “running to the grocery store look”, or the “washing clothes and running errand looks”! Needless to say, we were not getting anywhere and the toss it pile was skimpy (lol)!

So, knowing exactly how hard it is to get rid of the old to make room for the new. I have a new rule of thumb that has been working magic for me. Ask your self these questions:

1. If I was shopping today would I really buy this? (and if so...)
2. What pieces do I currently have to match with this item?
If you can come up with three take your breath away looks it's worth the keep!
I hope you all find these Tips helpful! Happy Tuesday !!!

Monday, October 26, 2015

As Sunday comes to an end and Monday is upon us sometimes added stress and anxiety begin to rise. Rather its hundreds of unanswered emails, running around getting the kids situated (or both in my case). It is important to take some time, get out and smell the roses! I mean that literally. According to Health.com, the vitamin D boost from sunlight may elevate your levels of feel-good serotonin.  And we can all benefit from some extra feel good!

It is also important  not to let negative thoughts get you down. I have from time to time fell victim to negative thoughts invading my headspace due to an overload of stress. A great way to release that stress is to focus on something else, such as your hands and body. As busy as I am or feel, I try to hit the gym at least 3 to 4 times a week. According to Health.com,  falling into familiar rhythmic routines sends a signal to our brain that immediately relaxes causing us to feel grounded. Everyone may have a different outlet but for me the gym works. I do recommend exploring what outlet works best for you!

And Last but never least spiritual beliefs… that can mean many different things. For me its having a strong connection with God and believing in being positive, kind, grateful and loving. When my back is against the wall I know that there is always a higher power that I can turn to and there is comfort in knowing that! On that note, Enjoy your Monday and may it be stress free! Here’s our Monday Quote, I hope it registers in a special place in y'all hearts!
